Truck driving jobs may soon be relocating to a town near you!   The state of Ohio has approved nearly $175,000 in tax credits to a commercial transportation company that they are trying to entice to make Columbus their new home.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority supported tax credits for numerous businesses that are considering Ohio for new facilities or expansions.

I know it is still three months away, but now is the time to start planning all your Christmas festivities!

Every year, my husband and I host a cocktail Christmas party, complete with white elephant gifts, an open bar, and the most amazing food ever (I think everyone leaves nearly four pounds heavier).

We have already got the Utah Christmas caterer, the bartender, and the live music arranged. Now I just have to get all the activities lined up; this article has been a huge help! Let me know if you have any great ideas!

A technological advance that is quickly revolutionizing the mortgage and financial industry, e-recording is a software solutions that enables citizens, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and county record offices, to electronically file and receive a stamped copy of a document that needs to be recorded.

Much quicker and less expensive than traditional methods, e-recording allows the whole process to take literally minutes rather than days or weeks.

Recently I have been doing a lot of research about weight loss supplements to take in conjunction with my daily exercise routine and healthy new eating habits. When used correctly with diet and exercise, my trainer told me they can be really effective.

I have heard quite a bit about the Zantrex energy pill, a xanthine-based fat-burning supplement that is apparently one of the fastest selling diet pills in America. In 2003, Britney Spears allegedly was seen with a bottle at Heathrow airport (think back a few years to the hot and svelte Miss Spears).

I also have a few friends that have started taking it and apparently, so far so good. The pill is aimed at sustaining high energy and they say it delivers just that. To learn more about the pill, visit the official Zantrex website.

Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday. The costumes, the candy, the parties, scary movies, haunted houses…I love it all!

Every year, I get more and more excited for October 31st to roll around. My husband and I have our annual Halloween spectacular, complete with live music, traditional Halloween games (think bobbing for apples), and the best costumes this side of the Mississippi.

Another favorite? Haunted houses. We visit a different one each weekend they are open. Maybe it’s the adrenaline rush or the opportunity to get close to my man, but whatever it is, I love being scared!

With Halloween only five weeks away, our Halloween planning is well under way! Here are some great resources to make your Halloween one to remember:

I have to admit, that a Swift trucking job usually isn’t the first thing to come to mind when one (or at least I) think about a profitable careers.  I would imagine many harbor the same judgments and stereotypes as I did about truck driving jobs.  Yet after some research, I found some interesting facts.

Certainly not a glamorous occupation, truck driving has in fact become one of the fastest growing careers in the United States.  And for good reason…

Career Builder actually named truck driving as one of its top 25 of 2006 because it is estimated that truck driving will account for a huge percentage in overall job growth over the next decade and provide nearly 223,000 new jobs.

With a looming shortage of drivers despite a growing demand for their services, employer are offering competitive wages, flexible schedules, and other incentives to help recruit drivers.

Enjoy freedom on the road, choosing your own schedule, and a competitive salary?  Maybe truck driving is for you…

Apparently the Utah wedding photography industry is big…and by big, I mean colossal.  The average marrying age in the Beehive state is early twenties (21-23) and the number of young couples getting engaged is much higher than anywhere else in the nation.  So there is certainly no shortage of clients for photographers and they charge quite a bit for their services.  Interested in becoming a wedding photographer?  Utah may just be the place to do it.

Utah seems to be blossoming into a mini Silicon Valley.  An entrepreneur’s dream, the Wasatch front is brimming with ambitious start-up companies as well as a number of established corporations including eBay, 3M, and AlphaGraphics.

Another breed of companies is quickly staking claim and taking advantage of the economic growth.  Internet marketing firms are popping up all over the Beehive state like overgrown weeds.  And it’s no wonder Utah search engine optimization companies are having no trouble accumulating clientele; from small home business to large corporations, companies are becoming more and more aware of the booming online market place and many realize they must establish a presence on the world wide web.

And they seem to be good at what they do; a number of rather large and prominent national corporations are increasingly choosing small Utah internet marketing companies over bigger firms.  Perhaps it is the appeal of a small company, less contacts, and more focus and dedication for the client.

Need SEO services?  Consider hiring a Utah firm…who knew Utah was such a prosperous and budding area?

As an addendum to the post about the Mexican truckers, I heard that a Swift trucking job is the way to go.  My uncle works for Swift Transportation, one of the country’s largest commercial carriers.  According to him, Swift offers some of the most competitive wages and benefits in the industry despite the forecasted influx of Mexican drivers…I suppose it’s worth a look if the open road is callin’ your name and trucking is in your future.

I am continually baffled by the number of overweight people in America.  What is it with this fast-food, calorie hording, lazy society?  I realize there are those that have serious health issues which affect their weight, but that number is rather small compared to the number of actual overweight individuals.

Deciding to lose weight is easy; actually doing so can be another story.  People often lack the self-motivation, discipline, and will power to stick to a weight loss regiment long enough to see results.  Weight loss is a lengthy often continual process not taken seriously in our society that expects instant gratification.

Losing weight is possible if you change your lifestyle.  Adequate exercise and a healthy diet are essential when it comes to shedding those pounds.  In conjunction, the use of an energy supplement, or weight loss supplement, can expedite the process.  However, too often, people think diet pills will deliver the full weight loss results they want; while they will help you lose some of the weight, they work best and help you lose the most when combined with diet and exercise.

Start small:  start making gradual changes today.  Start to cut out the fat and sugar, eat one slice of pizza instead of two, or drink water instead of soda.  Join a gym – often personal training sessions are included in the package and you can have a professional set up work out routines tailored for you.  Good luck in your weight loss endeavors!
