Probably every company out there wants to grow not just in clients and employees, but financially as well. However, companies may have to take risks in some areas to be able to expand.

One place where companies shouldn’t take risks is with the leniency of their risk management policies. Any company, whether large or small, creates almost countless electronic records every year, whether it’s financial spreadsheets or private contracts. These documents are important, and losing sensitive information can cost companies thousands and even millions of dollars.

Since these documents create risks and liabilities, particularly with the open possibility of lawsuits rampant these days, every company should employ risk management software. Not only could this software save the company money by protecting against lost data, but it makes it easier to track, organize, and save your up-to-date documents in a secure place.

My brother just proposed to his girlfriend of three years. Amazingly, he proposed while scuba diving underwater in a cave in Mexico. With such a unique proposal, they had to throw a unique celebration immediately after. Although I’d never been to one, they threw a large engagement party. They hired a Utah catering company, who provided scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and lots of great cocktails. It wasn’t overly done and was a huge hit. The engagement party was a great way to talk to the couple and mingle with family and friends before the hectic big wedding day.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good celebration. With such a romantic proposal and a smash hit engagement party, I can’t wait to see what the wedding is like!

Surrogacy is a technique used in assisted reproduction in which a woman becomes pregnant for the purpose of carrying to term and giving birth to a child for another individual or couple.  Essentially, the surrogate is a substitute body and in some instances, gestational surrogacy is the last hope for couples who wish to have a biological child.

The sperm from the intended father is used to fertilize the intended mother’s egg, which in turn is implanted in the surrogate.  She will then carry the child for the nine month gestation period, give birth, and give the child to the intended parents.

Where surrogacy is legal, the most common and advisable way to find a surrogate is through a surrogacy agency.  Most agencies have a group of potential surrogates.  They will administer the proper medical and psychological tests to ensure a woman is physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of becoming a surrogate before they agree to take her on as a client.

A couple who chooses to use surrogacy as an infertility service will then sign on with the agency and choose the surrogate they want.

In order to protect all parties involved (the agency, the surrogate, and the intended parents), the agency typically has a legal department that will handle all legal aspects and issues that arise.  It is also recommended that the surrogate and intended parents have lawyers of their own to consult before they sign any contracts.

Once the surrogate is chosen, there must be an agreement in regards to the terms of the pregnancy.  All parties should have a say in this and should consult with lawyers to make sure everyone’s rights are protected.

Mentorships (or specialized radio, film, or broadcasting internships) are something we are quite fond of here at Indie Wolf, especially since a few us actually know individuals that have completed such a program.  How cool is it that you can get one-on-one training with a professional in your desired field of work at a fraction of the cost of a traditional four year university?  And for those of skeptics of the program, how about all the perks the program provides?  Besides being a more financially pragmatic solution, the training occurs around your schedule (allowing you to still work) and you are exposed to a number of contacts within the industry.  In fact, mentorship programs typically have a 100% job placement rate for individuals that complete the program.  Pretty impressive.  We happened to find another guy that seems to agree with us…check out his post.

My parents recently just went on a Swiss hiking tour with The Adventure 100, a company that specializes in guided outdoor adventures all over the world.  The trips are customized and consist of small groups, which allow each guest individual attention and personalized service.

I have to say I am super only slightly jealous because I would love to go on a guided tour somewhere exotic with gorgeous scenery.  And how fun would a guided tour be, especially considering I have a tendency to get lost.

Well, great news for me!  The Adventure 100 travels all over the world to places such as Machu Picchu (Peru), Thailand, and New Zealand.  Anyone up for some adventure?

Ok, I found another article about why the bug hat (or mosquito hat, as previously referenced) is ideal for gardeners.  As a self-titled green thumb enthusiast, I will have to get myself one of these to keep those @#$!@!%#^!#$ mosquitos and bees from buzzing around my face!

Awhile ago, we wrote a post about the possibilities with a career in the commercial trucking industry. In fact, truck driving jobs are one of very few occupations that can guarantee job placement after training due to the economy’s high demand for drivers. Many individuals are turning to CDL classes and truck driving training because they know they will never be out of a job. There is ample financial aid and grants available to help pay for the necessary training and classes.

Paid for training and 100% job placement…does it get any better than that? I realize that a job as a truck driver may not be for everyone of course, but some people love the opportunity to see the country and be able to do something and be somewhere different each day. Perhaps you are one of them…
