If you haven’t been hiding under a rock, you should have noticed the “green movement”. Everything is “green”: grocery stores, credit card companies, cars, and now even catering companies. Green catering is becoming a huge success. You can get eco-friendly plates, cups, and flatware (some of them made out of bamboo!). Also, the all-natural cooking is more traditional than what we are used to with everything being processed and fake.

And the pricing isn’t much different from regular catering companies. So not only are you not paying more, but you are doing your part to help the environment and limit waste. When looking into hiring a green catering company, make sure they have strict policies on recycling. That is how you know you have the real deal.

Keeping up with fashion trends can sometimes be exhausting. With the change of each season, the fashion naturally changes. And since Fall is officially here, so are new fashions for handbags. Here’s what to look for when purchasing a new purse:

  • Masculine and Edgy: Chains, zippers, studs, and leather make for the perfect edgy bag for this Fall.

  • Feminine and Sleek: In comparison to the previous handbag, feminine handbags are also very in. Slim, chic, sleek, shiny, and elegant purses will make a big hit.

  • Flat bags: Voluminous bags are a thing of the past. This season, opt for messenger type bags that are flat and sling across the body.

  • Jeweled Tones: Just like how jeweled tones are in for clothes and shoes, purses are included. This season, look for those dazzling colors that make your ensemble POP.

  • Metallics: Just like last season, metallics are still in fashion. So good news for those of us that still are in love with our metallic handbags!

And if you are anything like me and absolutely adore new purses, try to save some money by purchasing wholesale handbags. You can get fantastic purses for great prices. Kind of a win-win situation.

Can I just say that I adore this handbag…

Starting school this semester?  If so, you are likely in the market for a new laptop, one that will serve all your needs from term papers to internet functionality to gaming.  Follow these simple tips when you’re looking for the perfect notebook.

  • The more memory the better, so make sure you get something with at least 2 GB.
  • If you opt for a PC with Windows, you may run into compatibly issues with Vista so explore PC options that allow you to install XP. Keep in mind that if you do run Vista, you will need at least 2GB, since 1 typically is not enough to keep the system running smoothly.
  •  If you plan on running video production software, engineering applications, or even for gaming, consider a video adapter with at least 256 MB of RAM; otherwise 128 MB should be sufficient.
  • In an effort to reduce costs and size, many manufacturers are reducing the number of available ports on laptops. Before making a purchase, review the technical specifications to ensure it meets all your needs.
  • How will you be using the laptop?  Will you be taking it to all your classes or to study at the library?  You may think a laptop with a big screen is just what you want but size will be a big determining factor once you figure out just how you’ll be utilizing the computer.
  • This may seem like a no-brainer, but once you’ve gotten your computer, make sure you enable an online backup solution.  Laptop theft is on the rise on college campuses across the nation – it would be a shame to lose all your music, pictures, or that crucial term paper without any hope of recovery.
