Weight Loss and Holidays and Health & Beauty07 Jan 2008 03:20 pm

I just wrote about my husband getting me a puppy for Christmas, and it’s been so much fun! The only problem is that I’m having a hard time keeping up - puppies have so much energy. I’m a little overweight, especially after eating an entire Yule Log myself this Christmas. (Ok, not quite…but it was close!) It seems like I always do that - I enjoy myself a little bit too much during the holidays. Perhaps it was the egg nog that got to me…

At any rate, I’m determined to lose the weight before the swimsuit season. I don’t want to humiliate myself before my family’s annual trip to Southern California this May. I have decided to try Akavar. It’s gotten really good reviews, and I know a lot of people have tried it and loved it. I won’t have to give up my favorite foods, or so I hear. Apparently, I can eat what I want (Krispy Kreme, anyone?) and lose weight. I think what it does is it decreases your appetite so you want to eat less food. Sounds good to me - whatever works! I’m excited to get back into shape, and I’m really excited to try Akavar. I’ll write more as I get results.

Surrogacy is a technique used in assisted reproduction in which a woman becomes pregnant for the purpose of carrying to term and giving birth to a child for another individual or couple.  Essentially, the surrogate is a substitute body and in some instances, gestational surrogacy is the last hope for couples who wish to have a biological child.

The sperm from the intended father is used to fertilize the intended mother’s egg, which in turn is implanted in the surrogate.  She will then carry the child for the nine month gestation period, give birth, and give the child to the intended parents.

Where surrogacy is legal, the most common and advisable way to find a surrogate is through a surrogacy agency.  Most agencies have a group of potential surrogates.  They will administer the proper medical and psychological tests to ensure a woman is physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of becoming a surrogate before they agree to take her on as a client.

A couple who chooses to use surrogacy as an infertility service will then sign on with the agency and choose the surrogate they want.

In order to protect all parties involved (the agency, the surrogate, and the intended parents), the agency typically has a legal department that will handle all legal aspects and issues that arise.  It is also recommended that the surrogate and intended parents have lawyers of their own to consult before they sign any contracts.

Once the surrogate is chosen, there must be an agreement in regards to the terms of the pregnancy.  All parties should have a say in this and should consult with lawyers to make sure everyone’s rights are protected.

Recently I have been doing a lot of research about weight loss supplements to take in conjunction with my daily exercise routine and healthy new eating habits. When used correctly with diet and exercise, my trainer told me they can be really effective.

I have heard quite a bit about the Zantrex energy pill, a xanthine-based fat-burning supplement that is apparently one of the fastest selling diet pills in America. In 2003, Britney Spears allegedly was seen with a bottle at Heathrow airport (think back a few years to the hot and svelte Miss Spears).

I also have a few friends that have started taking it and apparently, so far so good. The pill is aimed at sustaining high energy and they say it delivers just that. To learn more about the pill, visit the official Zantrex website.

I am continually baffled by the number of overweight people in America.  What is it with this fast-food, calorie hording, lazy society?  I realize there are those that have serious health issues which affect their weight, but that number is rather small compared to the number of actual overweight individuals.

Deciding to lose weight is easy; actually doing so can be another story.  People often lack the self-motivation, discipline, and will power to stick to a weight loss regiment long enough to see results.  Weight loss is a lengthy often continual process not taken seriously in our society that expects instant gratification.

Losing weight is possible if you change your lifestyle.  Adequate exercise and a healthy diet are essential when it comes to shedding those pounds.  In conjunction, the use of an energy supplement, or weight loss supplement, can expedite the process.  However, too often, people think diet pills will deliver the full weight loss results they want; while they will help you lose some of the weight, they work best and help you lose the most when combined with diet and exercise.

Start small:  start making gradual changes today.  Start to cut out the fat and sugar, eat one slice of pizza instead of two, or drink water instead of soda.  Join a gym – often personal training sessions are included in the package and you can have a professional set up work out routines tailored for you.  Good luck in your weight loss endeavors!
